PARTICIPATION IN THE ASFW TRADE FAIR UNDER THE PUBLIC TENDER FOR CO-FINANCING INDIVIDUAL COMPANY APPEARANCES AT INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIRS 2024–2028

OPERATION TITLE: Activities for the execution of an individual appearance at the ASFW international trade fair, held from November 8, 2024, to November 11, 2024.

The company TEKSTINA d.o.o. participated in the ASFW trade fair, which took place from November 8 to November 11, 2024, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The operation was selected for co-financing under the Public Tender for Co-financing Individual Company Appearances at International Trade Fairs 2024–2028. The intermediate body is the public agency SPIRIT Slovenia.

Purpose: The purpose of the public tender is to increase the opportunities for companies to present their products and services to the international business community, enhance prospects for business cooperation with foreign partners, and boost their international competitiveness and level of internationalization by co-financing the eligible costs of individual appearances at international trade fairs.

Goal: The goal of the public tender is to support individual trade fair appearances by micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (hereinafter: SMEs) at international fairs. This contributes to achieving the specific objective RSO1.3: “Enhancing the sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs and job creation in SMEs, including by productive investments (ERDF).” This focuses on internationalization and macro-regional cooperation through forming partnerships with companies in foreign markets, promoting and strengthening the product and service brands of Slovenian companies abroad, and fostering joint ventures in foreign markets.

PROJECT 3

Predilnica Litija d.o.o. successfully secured co-financing under the European Union’s Next Generation EU public tender for the research and development project “Development of Technical Textiles from Recycled Fibers.” As the lead consortium partner, the company began implementing the project on November 1, 2022, in collaboration with Tekstina d.o.o.

Goal: The objective of the project is to extend sustainable practices into the field of technical textiles by developing blends of recycled and bio-based fibers for the manufacturing of protective clothing. The textiles developed within this project will not require additional finishing and dyeing processes, which otherwise place a significant burden on the environment through polluted wastewater.

Purpose: The purpose of the project is to transition to a circular economy, which offers numerous benefits such as preserving natural resources, reducing the harmful impacts of waste generation, lowering the global carbon footprint, and decreasing water and dye consumption in fabric production.

The project “Development of Technical Textiles from Recycled Fibers” is co-financed by the European Union from the Next Generation EU fund and is part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP). The project was awarded a subsidy under the Public Tender “Incentives for Research and Development Projects RRP (RRI-NOO-36119725-94 RECYCLED FIBERS).”
