Development of Technical Textiles from Recycled Fibres
Predilnica Litija d.o.o. successfully obtained co-financing under the European Union’s NextGenerationEU programme for the research and development project Development of Technical Textiles from Recycled Fibres.
Project purpose

The textiles developed within the project will not require additional finishing and dyeing processes, which usually place a significant environmental burden through polluted wastewater.
Project objectives
The purpose of the project is to support the transition to a circular economy by contributing to:
- Preservation of natural resources
- Reduction of harmful impacts caused by waste generation
- Lower global carbon footprint
- Reduced water consumption in fabric production
- Reduced use of dyes and chemicals
- Development of more sustainable technical textiles
- Creation of materials suitable for protective clothing
